History

The history of Berco goes back to 1949. Under the name Van den Bergh, the production of car carpets started in Veghel (Noord-Brabant). Car carpets production is still one of our core businesses. From there, the following milestones have been achieved:

  • 1949: establishment Van den Bergh – start of producing of car carpets
  • 1955: start of production car seat covers
  • 1963: start of production car seats and door trims for DAF
  • 1977: acquisition by family Christiaen, Assenede, Belgium
  • 1987: start of production Scania Trucks
  • 1992: start of building Berco 1 - reallocation to Schijndel - name changed to Berco BV
  • 1996: start of production DAF Trucks
  • 2005: start of building Berco 2
  • 2007: modification organization structure; Berco Holding - BCC (Berco Car Carpets) - BTC (Berco Truck Components BV)
  • 2009: start of building Berco 3
  • 2011: start of production for our customer Daimler Trucks 
  • 2013: establishment BRC (Berco Revest Car) Sao Paulo, Brazil
  • 2014: start of building Berco 4
  • 2017: start of building Berco 5
  • 2018: foundation of B.T.I. ( Berco Truck International)
  • 2018: start of production Peterbilt Trucks U.S.A.
  • 2018: start of production IVECO Trucks

More than 70 years later, many changes have led to the current Berco organization: a modern, healthy and international company.
